mailroom / configure with an existing email account
Summary
I configured gitlab to reply to mails on an account that already existed (that we already use to report bugs, beside other emails (for a very indirect reason, this address was subscribed to a mailing list (so a bot can parse some mails sent to this mailing list…))).
Gitlab tried to reply to each and every unread emails (maybe also read ones?) in the mailbox (it was like 20k emails :-]).
Steps to reproduce
Configure gitlab mailroom to reply on an account already containing (unread?) emails.
Expected behavior
Gitlab should quietly ignore emails that does not match its address pattern, and maybe think of some other safeguards?
Actual behavior
Gitlab tries to reply to each and every mails, spamming everyone involved with "Unfortunately, your email message to GitLab could not be processed.".
