Pipeline: grouping wasn't applied
Summary
Hello!
GitLab version: GitLab Community Edition 8.12.6 fa20b51c
I tried to use a new feature of GitLab 8.12 - pipeline grouping.
There is a bit of information about this feature.
I made as it was shown on the picture https://about.gitlab.com/2016/09/22/gitlab-8-12-released/ in Build grouping section.
I decided that there is a pattern: name[:subname]<space><anything that will be grouped>
Steps to reproduce
So I made the following .gitlab-ci.yml:
.test:balance: &test_balance
before_script: []
stage: test
environment: test
tags:
- docker-engine
- docker-compose
test:balance buffer scale 2:
<<: *test_balance
script:
- SCALE=2 make test_balance
test:balance buffer scale 3:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- SCALE=3 make test_balance
test:balance buffer scale 4:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- SCALE=4 make test_balance
test:balance buffer scale 5:
<<: *test_balance
script:
- SCALE=5 make test_balance
test:balance buffer scale 6:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- SCALE=6 make test_balance
test:balance ab scale 2:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- BENCH=ab BENCH_OS=alpine SCALE=2 make test_balance
test:balance ab scale 3:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- BENCH=ab BENCH_OS=alpine SCALE=3 make test_balance
test:balance ab scale 4:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- BENCH=ab BENCH_OS=alpine SCALE=4 make test_balance
test:balance ab scale 5:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- BENCH=ab BENCH_OS=alpine SCALE=5 make test_balance
test:balance curl scale 3:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- BENCH=curl BENCH_OS=alpine SCALE=3 make test_balance
test:balance curl scale 4:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- BENCH=curl BENCH_OS=alpine SCALE=4 make test_balance
test:balance curl scale 5:
<<: *test_balance
when: manual
script:
- BENCH=curl BENCH_OS=alpine SCALE=5 make test_balance
Expected behavior
Grouping in pipeline or an advice or a faq written somewhere
Actual behavior
No grouping in pipeline
