big files above 10 GB does not get uploaded properly (git lfs)
Summary
Using git lfs, I am trying to upload a lot of big data files. Most went up with no problems, but 1 files which is just above 10GB, keeps failing (silently)
Steps to reproduce
create repo initiate git lfs track file type add file of > 10GB git commit git push wait for the big file to say it is uploaded and try to download it from the webinterface (here i get HTTP error 404) try to reupload the file (see logs in below section) file does stil not appear on the server
Expected behavior
a downloadable file
Actual behavior
file is not put on the server i the correct directory. I check the external storage, but it was not located under /path/to/storage/f1/84/a5cb85f23adbe7f9deb21cf39dee6164ecf2fd63cb44fe1e8bab478642ac as would be expected. The tmp/upload and tmp/cache is also empty!
Relevant logs and/or screenshots
user:directory user$ git lfs push origin master --all
Username for 'http://gitlab.host.com': user
Password for 'http://user@gitlab.host.com':
Git LFS: (1 of 1 files, 39 skipped) 9.78 GB / 9.78 GB, 13.69 GB skipped
I kept an eye on the cache and the upload dir during one of my upload tries, and could see that the file was build in the upload directory, but it stops building around 8GB where after it just disapears without a trace:
server:/path/to/storage # ll -h tmp/*
tmp/cache:
total 0
tmp/upload:
total 8.0G

Personal notes
I have tried to upload the file manually and placing it in the correct directory, but it is not registered at all. I wonder where such registration is managed...
