Build log should scroll better
Description including problem, use cases, benefits, and/or goals
When viewing the build log, I always end up scrolling to the bottom several times. I know I can enable auto-scroll, but that's not convenient.
Proposal
When a user scrolls to the bottom of the build log, automatically turn on auto-scroll. If they scroll up, automatically turn off auto-scroll. The "enable autoscroll" button will then be unnecessary. We could add a "scroll to bottom" button instead (which would have the side effect of enabling auto-scrolling).
Design
Don't mind the absence of the sidebar! It should be there, but just didn't include it in these mockups!
Top of build view (when opening up):
Middle of build view (if you are manually scrolling down or up):
Bottom of build view (when you have manually reached the bottom or have clicked the "scroll to bottom" button):
Note that for the bottom there is always a black line free to show this button, so it doesn't overlap any possible text
when reaching the bottom the borders on "Scroll to bottom" button will disappear and the text will change to "Autoscroll enabled"
