Gitlab.com: Unable to push commits >= 400 bytes to Git repositories
Hi!
When using Gitlab from a IPv6-enabled client, SSH/HTTPS connections fail. This manifests in:
- The inability to push via ssh *[1]
- The inability to push to repositories (Login succeeds, but write fails, connection is reset by peer. Affects ssh and HTTPS)
- Uploading of images and other stuff doesn't work
- Submitting issues to Gitlab fails (Firefox says that a secure connection could not be established)
- possibly other issues
Disabling IPv6 on the client completely resolves all issues. It would be great if I could use Gitlab.com without changing my connection settings.
*[1]: This can be worked around by adding MACs hmac-md5,hmac-sha1,umac-64@openssh.com,hmac-ripemd160
to /etc/ssh/ssh_config
, which then leads to the write failure.
