Epics disappeared
Summary
As of this morning the "Epics" menu disappeared from the menu bar on the left of my private group https://gitlab.com/groups/mereet/ and links which I had in my clipboard manager deliver 404.
I'm not sure whether I signed up for a trial plan some time ago since I feel that I had some features which are on paid plans only (the feedback of GitLab is zero for this matter). So, it might be that now GitLab is blocking my 1 month work (ouch!) and even forcing me to write a bug report to get any feedback on this at all when it should be clear from the intuitive software what changed and what I can or need to do in order to get access to my work.
Searching for "epic" in https://about.gitlab.com/pricing/gitlab-com/feature-comparison/ it seems that epics are a feature generally available to all plans because only extensions to epics, like "multilevel-epics" are listed explicitly.
Steps to reproduce
?
Example Project
I experienced with in a private project which I don't want to reveal to the public.
What is the current bug behavior?
As outlined above, access to epics disappeared without any notice which is either a bug or very bad feedback. Both need to be fixed.
What is the expected correct behavior?
Epics are accessible no matter which plan I use (since that's the probable outcome of research on other gitlab.com pages) or I get an info explaining everything.
This can all be summed up by the only principle which should be applied to (software) design: Don't make me think!
In case this is not a bug
Can I export my data?
You can export most of your data at any time. Your data belongs to you. You are never stuck on GitLab.com, you can always export and import your project to a self hosted version of GitLab.
from https://about.gitlab.com/pricing/#faq is hardly true.
