Strip New Lines from SSH Keys

Description

When I copy the public SSH key from a Windows terminal GitLab says it is invalid.

Proposal

Strip out newlines when validating a new SSH key.

Overview

Currently you have to manually remove the newlines or open the key file with a text editor and copy it from there.

Use cases

  • Windows users that are new to git
  • Git users that are forced to use Windows 😉
