gitaly build failure: mock/mock.proto:20:12: Option "(gitaly.op_type)" unknown.

I have successfully built gitaly till version 1.34.3 in debian and now when I try to build 1.42.5 or later (1.43.0 and 1.56.0 tried), build fails with the following error.

protobuf-compiler version is 3.6.1.3 trying to update it to 3.7.1 now.
