Consider additional post-launch enablement / marketing for Ultimate trial ability
Background
On 2024-12-15 groupprovision launched Iteration 1 of Ultimate trials for Premium customers. This included a some enablement for GitLab sales teams, but no customer marketing was done. This issue will explore options for customer marketing to have them reach out to sales and begin an Ultimate trial.
Pre-Requisites
Given this is net new and fairly complicated functionality, we'd like to monitor some of the first initiated trials to ensure no issues prior to direct customer engagement.
Customer Marketing
Thus far, no direct customer marketing has occurred.
Options
- Include an in-app banner on the
Billing
page about the option to trial - Introduce sales "hand-raise" or contact sales functionality for trial interest
- Contact/notify all active SaaS Premium customers
Field Enablement
Thus far, we have:
