Amazic Marketplace Implementation Plan
Background
The objective of the Amazic marketplace project is to provide the ability for GitLab authorized resellers to leverage Distribution e-marketplaces to purchase GitLab subscriptions in order to accelerate channel business and increase low/no touch orders.
This will be accomplished by building an API integration that will allow a partner can purchase GitLab from the Amazic marketplace and receive their license key/activation code “immediately” after submitting their order. In doing so, ensure data is captured and tracked accurately through all relevant GitLab systems/applications (Salesforce, Zuora, CustomersDot, etc.).

Iteration 1 (MVC): Net new customers
For MVC1, we will support automated provisioning of the below list of products only, for purchases by Authorized GitLab resellers, for net new GitLab customers. The work needed for MVC launch is captured in this epic; for future iteration work, please see: gitlab-org&9849 (closed)
- GitLab Ultimate, Self-managed, 1 Year, Partner Co-Sell (SKU: UL-SM-PC-1)
- GitLab Premium, Self-managed, 1 Year, Partner Co-Sell (SKU: PR-SM-PC-1)
When a purchase is made through the Amazic marketplace, we will populate all required details of the customer/order/subscription in Salesforce, Zuora, and CustomersDot.
