MR rate improvements: analysis

We all have OKRs to improve overall MR rates that have been in steady decline over time [dashboard].

  1. Where is the time spent between idea and MR merge?
  2. What are the major productivity issues (may differ by team -- tooling, slow tests, knowledge gaps, review load, context switching, ....)
  3. What are the teams or persons who do relatively better (if any) doing differently?
  4. Have other metrics around MRs changed (for example, MR sizes measured in average LoC, or the number of well-documented commits per MR)?
