Distribution runners, update docker machine version, change install fetch location
Hey team! Since you manage few of your own runners and you use our forked Docker Machine:
- There is a new version being in release pipeline right now, with a fix for an edge case related to GCP Firewall management. Probably not needed for your existing runners, since these are working properly. But could be useful if you will need to create a new GCP based runner using Docker Machine executor. Given that there is 0.16.2 out and you're still using 0.14.0 I'd consider upgrading them anyway
- I see in chef-repo that you still use the job artifact as the installation method (here and here). It works, but since few months you can now use our S3 bucket and https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/ci-cd/docker-machine/-/releases for finding the recent releases. The others (external source) points to an index page like this one where you can find direct links to binaries and their SHA256 checksums.
We should schedule an upgrade to the newer version, and use the new fetch location
