Help recognize wider community contributors for a GitLab Notable Contributor award! (Formerly known as MVP)
- This issue collects all GitLab Notable Contributor nominations from team members and the wider community for GitLab releases 18.0 through 18.11.
- Each release post, the Contributor Success team selects from the eligible nominees based on their contribution and community impact, nomination comments and emoji votes.
- The GitLab Notable Contributor is recognized with:
- Featured write-up in the GitLab release post.
- Notable Contributor achievement badge in their user profile.
- GitLab rewards store credits.

Nominate a contributor
- To add a new nominee, make a comment in this issue with the contributor name, GitLab profile, and some details of their contributions. Include their user handle as a header to make finding the thread easier.
- Both GitLab team members and wider community members can add nominations.
- Review the eligibility requirements.
- Team members can use the leaderboard on contributors.gitlab.com for reference
- Search through this issue first to see if the contributor was already added. If so, add your support in the existing thread.
Support a contributor
- Add a comment in the thread for the nominee with any supportive statements for the community contributor or additional examples of contributions they made.
