Update renewal email template for OSS and EDU subscriptions
Problem
Currently we have a "one-size-fits-all" approach to sending a renewal email to subscription customers. The renewal process for EDU and OSS subscriptions are different than that of paying customers. Our email template should reflect the proper information in these cases.
Proposal
For OSS subscriptions, explain that the user will need to apply for the subscription again via [this form] and direct any questions to opensource@gitlab.com.
For EDU subscription, explain that the user will need to apply for the subscription again via education@gitlab.com.
Please reach out to each of those groups for additional specifics which should be included in the email templates.
