Notification in SFDC whenever a customer exceeds their seat count

Problem

Sales has limited visibility into customer overages. Once seat link data is in SFDC, implement a way to notify sales when their customer has an overage.

Proposal

Option 1: Auto-create an add-on Opportunity

  • When a customer exceeds their seat count, auto-create an amendment opportunity for the number of seats the user is over by
  • Amend this opp at a regular cadence whenever additional seat overage is incurred
  • Need to consider implications wrt QSR Opps

Option 2: Email or SFDC Notification

  • When a customer exceeds their seat count, send a notification to the account owner
  • Options could be task in SFDC for review, email alert
  • Later option could be a Slack alert

Result

Sales is acutely aware of any overages of their customer.
