As we don't have a UX kickoff, where each designer shortly talks about an issue they are excited to be working on, we could just record ourself doing so and share that with the other Create designers.
Doing these short, async, monthly design kick-off videos will ideally help our team to:
Discovery what others are working
Identify any overlapping work
Help surface opportunities for where group work should overlap
Make it easier to consume the information regardless of our timezone differences
@jeldergl IMO that template could be used for any kind of presentation using Figma, be it an intro frame, or a middle section frame, for a prototype, user stories, <insert another artifact here>
You've been working on the Figma slide deck, so maybe you've come up with a more flexible/appropriate template for these cases?
Maybe we just create a Presentation project or Presentation template that has some things like this available for use? I haven’t come across a need for anything like this just yet, but I can see its use.
We’d have to align on the frame size. I’ve been using 1920×1080, but have seen 1440×900 used too. In either case Figma scales them well in Presentation mode.
I like the idea of having a "Presentation project or Presentation template". In the last couple of UX Showcases I have been noticing more designers using Figma as their presentation tool :)
I added my video to the UX team playlist in the Unfiltered channel. Do you folks think it would be better to have a specific playlist just for these Create updates? I don't have a strong opinion.
