Discussion: Naming convention for new configuration parameters

Context

The vast majority of the registry configuration parameter names follow the flat case notation (all lowercase and no spaces or special characters). There are a few exceptions in the inherited storage drivers configuration though.

For new configuration parameters that we added in recent times, we've been respecting the flat case notation to maintain consistency. However, we can argue that its readability is not the best and question whether we should start following a different notation for all new parameters (and potentially rename existing ones in the future) to achieve 100% consistency and better readability.

We should make a deliberate decision on this before deviating from the norm. This issue is to discuss if/how we want to change the current situation.
