Consider removing the agentk kpt
setup
This project currently contains a kpt
setup.
We document its support in the GitLab docs.
The last changes have been made over 2 years ago.
I've personally never used it and wonder if we even have users for it - we also mostly don't seem to care - for example, what about receptive agent support or other things we've introduced to the Chart in the last two years? (OCS, etc).
Is kpt
still something we want to support?
If not, %18.0 may be a good time to remove it.
Impact on our side is that we need to clean up our own GitLab Agent QA tests (see here) - but we should that anyways I think. (no longer the case, because I've moved to using the Helm Chart)
Release notes
We are removing support for the kpt
based installation of the agent for Kubernetes. The recommended approach is to operate an agent installation through Helm, and we support various installation approaches from direct Helm apply, to GitLab CLI and FluxCD integrations.
