upgrading gitlab to 16.3.7 not supported by the operator but upgrade path says it is a needed step to go forward

The instance running on chart 7.3.6, the upgrade path says that I must go with gitlab 16.3.7 which in chart 7.3.7, but there is no operator version that supports gitlab chart 7.3.7. How it looks like the upgrade path with the operator from chart 7.3.6?
