Ambiguity on possibility of version skipping of Operator

Hello.

It's not clear from the documentation whether you can skip Operator versions to align with the upgrade path tool. I would suggest this is an area that needs more detail providing.

Using the above as the example where we are on Operator version 0.13.1 and chart version 6.5.1 and Gitlab version 15.5.1 would we be able to skip all the way to the latest which as of writing is https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/cloud-native/gitlab-operator/-/releases/0.17.0?
