glab CLI does not send issue or MR comments to StdOut
Summary
Steps to reproduce
- Install glab CLI
- I am using zsh 5.8 (x86_64-apple-darwin21.0)
- glab version 1.22.0 (2022-01-10)
- Setup locally with auth key
- clone a project:
git clone https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab
- go to git project folder
-
glab issue view --comments 364834
- note that you can see a comment in the console
-
glab issue view --comments 364834 > temp.txt
- note that the comment is not in the streamed file
-
glab issue view --comments 364834 | grep Comment
- note that there is no output after filtering by Comment
Also occurs with glab mr view
Example Project
What is the current bug behavior?
Comments are not sent to StdOut
What is the expected correct behavior?
Command line tools are for automation purposes. So they should send everything to StdOut, so it can be streamed or piped.
