Team pairing meeting
Why
Team members expressed interest in an optional recurring team pairing meeting that is cross language/discipline.
What
- Anyone can contribute to this pair session.
- All disciplines/roles/skills welcome.
- It's OK for more than 2 people to be on the call.
- Topic can be decided in real time.
- The purpose is to share knowledge, learn from each other, and drive a result.
- Document everything, and keep improving the process.
This could be a nice opportunity to have predictable time on the calendar to help each other with Deliverable items, share workflows/processes that we love, and build team rapport.
DRI for Timezones
Because of our distributed team, we'll probably need 2 meetings to achieve inclusion for everyone.
UPDATE hunter:
I searched the calendar for a time when our AMER/EMEA engineers have overlap and it's a narrow slot of time already jammed with meetings. I think we'd probably need to have region specific meetings. I'm starting with one that's optimized for AMER and have added a row for EMEA one. Maybe we can revisit the time at the next team standup when more people are available to to discuss. I find calendar discussions difficult async.
DRI | Timezone | UTC Time |
---|---|---|
@hustewart | AMER | 06:00 pm UTC |

APAC | TBD |

EMEA | TBD |
The DRI just needs to see if there's interest, set up the meeting, and help socialize it.
