Retrospection
Good
- We performed well against product features that were chosen to drive revenue
- While we didn't hit our OKR for performance/application limits there are two factors:
- These two groups have a tighter focus so fewer opportunities for Application Limits settings
- We shipped gitlab-org/gitlab!23406 (merged), which didn't have an issue but was part of the epic tree work. I think this is actually a positive, that shows we're tackling performance issues before they affect customers.
Bad
- We're a small team trying to service two product groups. However, performance bottlenecks affect customers too and we should work with PMs to prioritise the right performance fixes in a milestone.
Try
- Experimenting with 'themes' helped us to deliver Requirements Management and contribute to Jira Importer. We should solidify that with an update to the team page in the handbook and reuse the strategy for important features in Q2.
