Blog about the status of the single codebase project (Aug 23)

Proposal

We announced in https://about.gitlab.com/2019/02/21/merging-ce-and-ee-codebases/ that we will start working on merging GitLab CE and EE codebases.

Majority of the work has been done and we are in the finalising stages of the effort gitlab-org&802 (closed).

@yorickpeterse can create a blog post that will:

• Give some statistics of the whole codebase merge effort (number of MR's, changes, etc.)
• Cover one of the biggest technical challenges we encountered and resolved (database schema migration, loading code in the correct order or something of Yorick's choosing)
• Give a preview of the final steps we are going to take (project renaming, impact to the user and similar)
