Follow-up from "- 1st pass at SRE JD refactor"
The following discussions from !20023 (merged) should be addressed:

@craig started a discussion: Site Reliability Engineers shouldn't be defining Service Level Agreements, but rather should work with product teams to define the Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives that are used by those teams to create their SLAs.
Also... we probably shouldn't pepper the description with TLAs that candidates may or may not understand, depending on their background

@craig started a discussion: Monitoring and Metrics
seems very tactical and limited. At a higher level, Observability seems like a better label that comprises multiple sub-topics: distributed tracing, transaction IDs, logging, monitoring, metrics, and making all of those accessible to other GitLab engineers. For the day-to-day and in the near-term, we certainly have a focus on monitoring and metrics, but for leveling, the higher-level roles should be looking to guide improvements towards better, more consistent "observability" and dashboards across additional areas, as well. -
@craig started a discussion: Presenting at conferences seems like a natural extension of this one. It shouldn't be a hard requirement, because it's not for everyone, but the same is true for long-form writing and authoring blog posts. Someone could be far more comfortable/interested in one, but not the other.

@craig started a discussion: (+4 comments) While this is currently how we organize things, I'd love to leave ourselves an opening to bringing in different perspectives on this point for multiple reasons - I think it would help improve the overall quality of our interview panels, guard against developing unconscious biases rooted in our silo'd corner of the organization, and different perspectives could provide extremely valuable insights that we simply don't have access to with our current team structure/focus.

@ansdval started a discussion: (+1 comment) Alright, I think I've confused myself. Are the job reqs not pulled directly from the language here. I've noticed a substantial deviation from this text in https://about.gitlab.com/jobs/apply/site-reliability-engineer-4055711002/

@adrianmoisey started a discussion: There's a typo in this sentence. I assume it should be:
You will have a 45 minute interview with...
