Navigation Design Sprint
The Design Sprint
The Design Sprint will last 5 days from the 25th March - 29th March. Through each day of the sprint, we will progressively get closer to an actionable design solution. Product Managers have been partnered with a Designer.
- Facilitator: Tim Noah @timnoah
- Victor Wu @victorwu <> Chris Peressini @cperessini
- Jeremy Watson @jeremy <> Kyle Mann @kmann
- Luca Williams @tipyn <> Tim Noah @timnoah
A sprint is always a collaborative effort but we will have some breakaway during Day 1 and Day 2 where sprint partners will be able to specifically sketch ideas and iterate through them together. One idea from each sprint partnership will then be presented to the group on Day 3.
The idea is also to allow for at least one 1 hour meeting, for the first 4 days of the sprint, as a group. The hour will most likely not be needed on all occasions but gives us enough time to discuss any matters at hand. During the break out sessions between sprint partners, the work could be picked up a-sync or synced (whatever works best for you) but momentum is key. So especially on Day 1 and Day 2 as we iterate through ideas, it would be recommended for partners to sync together at least once.

The Plan
Tasks | |
---|---|
Kick-Off |
**Meeting (22nd March)** - Introductions. - Expectations for the following week. |
Day 1 |
**Understand (25th March)** - During Meeting: We map out the problem, going into further details and pick apart the wider issues at hand. - Sprint Partners: Breakaway to discuss further and talk about potential lines of enquiry. |
Day 2 |
**Ideate (26th March)** - During Meeting: We add to discussions from Day 1. - Sprint Partners: Breakaway to sketch out ideas, deciding on one winning idea to present to the group on Day 3. |
Day 3 |
**Decide (27th March)** - During Meeting: Sprint Partners talk through their winning idea with the group. Feedback is given and received for all ideas. We then vote (anonymously) for the idea(s) we believe work best. |
Day 4 |
**Prototype (28th March)** - During Meeting: We discuss the winning idea and Facilitator leads the effort in prototyping the design. We discuss user testing and begin preparations for this on Day 5. |
Day 5 |
**Test (29th March)** - Connect A-Sync on the issue as User testing begins. The facilitator will detail the main findings and points of discussion. |
Desired Outcomes
One MVC concept in prototype form, that has been tested with users and analysed against our understanding of the problem.
