Define better guidelines for screenshots in the release blog post
From Slack: https://gitlab.slack.com/archives/C3TRESYPJ/p1542723599147200
Release Post has a variety of images for primary features, secondary ones, the background, and even one for the social sharing.
At the moment, there are a few guidelines but they are not fully solving the consistency problem.
We want images to look good on small screens, on big screens, on Retina, on 4k, on mobile.
We should create more detailed guidelines on how images should be.
To be defined
- Ratio
- Size in pixels
- Size in Bytes
- Portion of the page (zoom)
- Min resolution
- Max resolution
And only compress them once.
To be achieved
- Consistency with all images, they need to be harmonic
- Best resolution with the minimum size
Main concerns
- The post should load, regardless of the internet speed
- It needs to be consistent
- It needs to look as good as possible
Who can we ping here?
