Verify Engineering Update for 2020-12-03

I'm creating this issue as a placeholder for the next Verify Engineering Update that I'd like to send in 2 weeks. Feel free to add items to this issue as they come up or when we're near the due date. As a reminder, please pick 2 or 3 things across any of the areas below:

  1. Things we want to celebrate - something we shipped successfully, or a nagging bug that we squashed
  2. Things we learned - could be technical or from a customer
  3. Things that didn't go well - a notable regression for example
  4. Things that are coming up that are exciting - new initiatives, or upcoming events

Additionally, consider if any of these items should be included in the Engineering Week In Review. If so, please add them there as well, and indicate with the item that it will be included in the WIR.

Thanks!
