2020-05-20 Designing a Dark Web IDE
In GitLab %13.0 we're aiming to launch Dark Mode for the Web IDE. As part of that process there was a considerable amount of design work that had to be done to and validated to take our existing UI patterns and make them work.
Proposal
A dual purpose blog post that both promotes the Web IDE and showcases the process/work that happened as a result of developing the designs for this. This provides us a way to talk about the Web IDE and regenerate some interest in this, as well as showcase some thought leadership around how to take existing working light designs and rethink items for a dark UI.
