Establish Parental Leave Reentry Buddy, returning to work at 50% capacity, and tips for returning from work after parental leave

Background

This issue creates several first iterations to promote a more inclusive environment for parents at GitLab. Specifically, those reentering work after parental leave. This issue takes action on suggestions initially put forth in this issue, and builds upon recent suggestions from team members in this Slack thread.

What does the associated merge request do?

  1. Adds Returning to work at 50% capacity, which allows for a smoother ramp back to work following paternal leave. Creating a ramp enables a team member to manage stress levels, bolsters our talent brand, and should lead to stronger retention.
  2. Adds framework for Parental Leave Reentry Buddies, creating an opportunity for team members to serve as reentry buddies.

Proposal

Once confirmed and merged, we will do the following.

  • Announce it on the Company Call
  • Add it to the #company-announcement Slack channel
