The hero banner on the homepage of about.gitlab.com is manually updated in ten-oh-announcement.haml, but this wasn't in the checklist so it was missed when we merged the release post. I'll add this to the checklist for next time, but ideally this should automatically update.
It was really hard to find out what would or would not make the cutoff - I liked the suggestion, I forget who made it, to just include everything and then remove it at the last moment.
The webIDE bug made life a little painful for us newbies whose git isn't working yet from terminal/vscode

We need to consider changes to the release post schedule/process, since a lot of items were still being merged in on the 17th. This was the last day to make 12.0, and it made it a challenge to do content review/the intro since there was still a lot of questions around what would make it and what wouldn't.
