UX Engineer and Frontend Engineer Differences and Distinction
While working through FY26 headcount planning, we have identified the need for one of our primarily frontend teams to add more headcount.
Through this discussion, it became unclear whether the team should recommend additional support in the form of a UX Engineer or a Frontend Engineer. The differences between the two are not distinct.
This issue serves as a point of discussion so that we can expand on the 2 roles - the overlap between them, and the differences, and to answer the question "In what scenario would a product group require additional UX Engineering support?"
