Blog post to introduce readers to the GitLab Terraform Provider

Triage (REQUIRED)

Please note that there is a different process for when you want to announce something via the blog. Please see announcement requests in the handbook and open an announcement request issue instead of a blog post issue.

Proposal

Context: The GitLab Terraform Provider used to be a community maintained project and has been taken over official by GitLab last year. And we've had quite some success. You can find more details in https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/configure/general/-/issues/302. However, we'd like to promote it a little to hopefully attract more users and contributors.

Thus, I'd like to write a blog post which:

  • Introduces the reader to the GitLab Terraform Provider
  • Tell about the success we've had last year
  • Show case some examples
    • Potentially include real life example
    • I also now some other bigger users I could reach out to
  • Add a "call for action" that we are always looking for community contributions and that we are open to mentor community contributors to become maintainers (details need to be defined)
    • Also pointing to the resources where to get started for new contributors

The goal would be to write the post somewhen next Milestone (%16.0).
