Web interface edits are breaking the local copy of this repo!!

Somehow every commit from the web interface is breaking the local copy of the site. This is a high priority to be fixed.

What's happening:

There are different commits, made by different people, since yesterday, that are causing the line ending mode to be changed to ctrl whenever edits are made via web interface. When that happens, it's painful to make the local repo talk to git again. So there's something broken, I have no clue what, and how/why this is happening. It wasn't happening till yesterday.
