Everyone in Development takes the DIB training and certification

I am pleased to announce that we are releasing our first iteration of our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) certification. Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging are part of our core values and fundamental to GitLab’s success. Retrospective

Good

• Over all the team was able to take the new DIB training and it was shorter than previous trainings.
• Development was one of the first departments to set a goal around DIB training - it was great to see this group take the lead here.

Bad

• We didn't get to a 100%. This was due to some miscommunication on whether this was required in Q1 or optional based on function goals for the quarter vs. departments.

Try

• Get feedback and possibly commit to get everyone else trained by middle of June.
