Support training - create 'pathways', track what you've completed and find subject matter experts
Background
The [Support Training] project contains issue templates for various 'bootcamps' (called 'courses' in this issue) that help Support Team members level up their skills.
It would be great to improve this by:
- Creating 'learning pathways' - a recommended order for courses to be completed in
- Make it easy to see what you've completed
- Be reminded every six months to 'refresh your knowledge' on completed courses and see new topics in the course since you completed it
- Easily see who on the team has completed courses and when they did them
Why
- To help us all level up our skills effectively
- To help us all find people with skills we might need to help a customer
How
This can be achieved by building a static website (using GitLab pages to host) on the Support Training project.
Tom has made a start on this branch and a holding page has been published. Using the new permissions for GitLab pages this can be made only visible to GitLab team members if desired (for discussion later).
The static site generator can achieve all the features listed above. Tom will launch a prototype and create issues for how it can be improved.
