AMER Crew Review - Priorities and Conflicts

It can be challenging to decide how to prioritize Crew work relative to our other responsibilities. It can also be challenging to decide what to do when another event conflicts with Crew work. Some examples:

  1. Crew vs. Time Off
    1. When you're taking time off do you need to get coverage for your Crew days? If so, that means the person covering for you will have two Crew days in one week - double the tickets! If not, how does your Crew handle it?
    2. If you have a Crew day immediately followed by days off, what do you do?
  2. FRT (Crew) vs. Own Queue
    1. How do you prioritize next responses on your existing tickets relative to first responses on new (Crew) tickets?
    2. What if you already have a heavy ticket load before you even start your Crew day?
  3. Crew vs. On-Call/CMOC
    1. How do you handle being the on-call person on your Crew day?

Discussion

In this issue, please add to this list of priorities and conflicts, and please present ideas for how we should best manage them. I'm hopeful that the ideas will lead us to changes that will make us more successful and happy in Crew.
