Investigation: Connect PTO by Roots with EMEA Support Response Crew scheduling

Problem Statement

  • What is the problem?

The current EMEA Response Crew schedule is an integration between a Google Doc and a Google Calendar. The Crew Calendar often does not reflect PTO from Crew members, because team members use "PTO by Roots" to record official PTO, and the Crew Google Doc must be updated separately.

  • Why is this a problem?

The Crew Calendar shows information that can be inaccurate. Crew members can forget to find someone to cover when they are out, possibly because it's an extra step they have to take after using "PTO by Roots".

Proposal

Investigate whether the EMEA Response Crew calendar can integrate information from "PTO by Roots".
