Update Pager Duty To Work With Response Crew Schedule

Problem Statement

Currently we have Pager Duty still pinging support engineers for FRT and SLA Hawk coverage. I believe it would be better to update PD so that it would work with the new Response Crew scheduling instead.

What is the problem?

Pager Duty alerts that do not cover roles we are using at this time. At the same time, we are not getting alerts for when we are on Response Crew. Currently we have a google doc that we can check to see if/when our day is rotated.

Proposal

If we could update Pager Duty so that engineers would receive an alert (email) 24 hours prior to their response crew shift, this would help not have to check the google doc. This would also remove the SLA/FRT Hawk alerts. I believe this would be beneficial, as well, when the response crew days are rotated. This way, we could always check PD Scheduling to see when our day is for the upcoming week.

Bonus: If we could also have this auto populate on our individual one on one issues (updated so that it would say which day specifically we are scheduled for the upcoming week) then this would also help keep us aware of our day, and bring it to our attention during one on ones the week before.

Potential Roadblocks/Things to consider

Roadblocks I can think of would be if Pager Duty would not support the rotation of days per individual. Also if we are not able to auto populate the specific day on the one on one issue, as this would require more setup for each engineer + individual's one on one issue.
