Hypothesis
Adding L&R has drawn resources away from the rest of the queues that haven’t been replenished.
Evidence Gathered
-
L&R Spreadsheet
- Back in 2019 - seems that only Amanda was working the queue.
- Today we have 6 SE’s working the L&R queue (3 previously SM and 3 previously SaaS)
- L&R queue SE’s are still working 8% of the SaaS queue (680 SaaS updates in July from the L&R queue relative to 9589 updates ins SaaS from the rest of the group)
- In July the L&R queue team created 2005 updates ( half of which could have went into SaaS work and other half into SM )
Conclusions Drawn
- 3 SE’s could have been contributing to the SaaS queue ( created 910~ updates in the L&R queue which could have been done in SaaS - 10% of current SaaS volume )
- Considering that we are moving to 100% on L&R we can expect an additional 8% decrease in SaaS work from the L&R team.
