How am I able to create repositories on GitLab.com without creating it first online?
Description of the problem
I am able to create new repositories on GitLab.com, right from the terminal, without creating it first on GitLab.com. I am wondering how that seems to be possible.
git remote add origin email@example.com:arunsathiya/repo.git and it automatically creates a
repo repository on my GitLab.com account.
While this is great, I am wondering how this is working - is it some sort of personal access token at work?
I wasn't able to do this with other git hosting services like GitHub - I had to create the repository online first.
Thanks for taking a look!
