Can't push over https with password, how to disable that "personal token"?
Description of the problem
$ git push origin master Username for 'https://gitlab.freedesktop.org': Hi-Angel Password for 'https://[email protected]': remote: HTTP Basic: Access denied remote: You must use a personal access token with 'api' scope for Git over HTTP. remote: You can generate one at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/profile/personal_access_tokens fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/Hi-Angel/libinput.git/'
Pushing over https requires some personal token. I think I've managed to create it once, but now I'm from another computer, and I really don't want to go through the hoops again. It doesn't add security or anything — in the end I have to type the password anyway, and the password is encrypted due to https.
It's so frustrating! For now I ended up using a github mirror, but I gotta send PRs with gitlab anyway.
