Security Products retreat

The acquisition of Gemnasium by GitLab went really fast, and the team didn't have a chance to bond one last time together. I'd like to have all the members of the current Security Products team (including Fabio Busatto, our PM) in one place for a week, with a reasonable budget (under 5K). I submitted the idea to @sytses and @dzaporozhets, who were OK with it, and approval is pending the proposed budget.

To save money on travel expenses, we decided to target something next to Québec City (Canada), so that Olivier and I would be on site already. We will be working during work hours, and enjoy excursions in the evenings.

The budget would include:

  • The rent for the house (Airbnb, 2-3K)
  • Groceries for the lunches ($300)
  • Flights for Europe members (1-2K)
  • If budget permits, one diner in a fancy restaurant for the last night.

I suggest that we pay ourselves for the diners and evening excursions. I will take care of the groceries (with a special attention to allergies and specific dietary requirements).

As per my discussion with @sytses, I understand this is a one-time opportunity, and it will not be reproduced in the future.

The dates would be from Monday, June 18, 2018, to Sunday, June 24, 2018.
