Clarify that Community Edition can have support

Gabriel Mazetto requested to merge clarify-community-edition-can-have-support into main

Based on discussion with @sytses today:

Gabriel: Sid, have we consider an open-source tier price for folks that want to use the open-source but still want to have support? (same price as premium, same per-seat etc).

Whenever discussions like that come up, “Enterprise is proprietary and therefore the devil”, so they direct people to community. If people using community ever decide they want to pay, their only option is use “non-free software”.

I don’t expect any huge demand for that, but I see it couldn’t hurt to have that option

Sid: Gabriel, if people purchase Premium they can use the support for CE. The extra features of EE are not an incremental cost to us so no reason to do a special tier if you don't use them.

Gabriel: maybe something we can communicate better on our marketing site?

Sid: Gabriel, I think the interest in this will be minimal and it is hard to communicate it without complicating this.

Also, anecdotally everyone who did this churned after a year of not needing support.

Gabriel: https://about.gitlab.com/install/ce-or-ee/ I mean here, it says “no support”

I'm adding a note that support can be possible if purchasing an enterprise tier license
