Goal

Add a link to What's New in the main navigation.

• Swap The Source feature in the resources section with a link to What's New
• Look at engagement data to determine impact on The Source ✅

  • Navigation Promotion Card Impact Analysis (Last 365 days)

    Key findings (via @trevor-storey):

    • The navigation promotion card drove approximately 5,700 of The Source's 71,000 homepage views (~8%)
    • The Source's total annual traffic: ~450K
    • Majority of traffic comes from organic search and paid channels directly to articles
    • Homepage represents only a small portion of total Source traffic

    Recommendation: Removing the promotion card and adding a "The Source" navigation item under "Discover" should not cause a significant drop in overall Source traffic, as most visitors access articles directly rather than through the homepage.
