Audit hand crafted thanos recording rules
We have the following recording rules in non-autogenerated files in Thanos:
File | Description | Relevant | Delegated to |
---|---|---|---|
gcp-snapshots.yml | Alerts for delayed/failed snapshots | Y | #2780 (closed) |
metamon.yml | Fake alerts that always fire for snitching, We'll need something similar for mimir | Y | #2781 (closed) |
mtbf-timestamps.yml | Old mtbf rules | N | |
service_slo_observance.yml | Used for SLA rules-k8s | Y | #2783 (closed) |
thanos.yml | Thanos specific alerts for sidecars and compaction | N | |
vault.yml | Vault alerts | Y | #2784 (closed) |
websockets-custom.yml | Websocket alerts | Y | #2785 (closed) |
we need to go through them, see if they are still relevant. If they are, we need to create an equivalent for them in Mimir. Likely separated by tenant and service where needed.
