Summary
Two public projects for which I am an owner/maintainer, NTPsec and GPSD, had their private bit set and locked yesterday (2020-12-16).
Most of our developer community are not project members. This has cut them off from being able to contribute and stopped development in its tracks.
Timeline
Projects were locked yesterday following flurry of apparently autogenerated email from a a CI abuse detection system at GitLab.
We have investigated, and there are no recent changes to our CI configuration that could explain these emails.
