SRE Action Required

In the course of investigation of gitlab-org/gitlab#247060 (closed) we discovered that the project import limit for GitLab.com had been reduced to 50MB.

I'm requesting that this limit be increased to 5GB:

• troubles with on on-going PS migration
• multiple customer tickets (see linked issue)
• reported customer experience
• this is what's documented in our docs: https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/gitlab_com/#repository-size-limit

Note: I believe this was previously 10GB to match our repository limit, but our import limit is 5GB due to the CloudFlare file size limit.

Change Details

Increase limit back to original:

1. Navigate to: https://gitlab.com/admin/application_settings/general
2. Expand "Account and Limit"
3. Change Maximum import size to 5120

Rollback

Change setting back.
