2024-07-30: Users cannot complete OAuth sign up
Customer Impact
Some users trying to sign up to GitLab.com using OAuth SSO (e.g. Google) will receive an email with message "Complete verification to sign up." and a verification code. The redirect link from the email presents an empty page, where users cannot enter the verification code to proceed.
Current Status
We identified the addition of Arkose email intelligence as the root cause. The MR is being reverted, and is waiting to be deployed to production.
