git-over-SSH errors debugging

Following on from production#844 (closed) there are still some underlying issues to resolve. In particular the regularity of issues reported in production#844 (comment 187833688) suggests we could track that instance down specifically and hopefully capture enough data to find a source of at least one cause.

Current status: Problem alleviated; some followup still to occur regarding unicorn queuing on git front-end servers
